Sir,

Sub: Disbursement of pension to Central Government pensioners in Kerala State on 15th August in connection with  “Onam” festival

“Onam” the State Festival of Kerala which is celebrated by all in the State commences from 15th August this year. The has been the practice to issue orders to draw /disburse salary and pension to Central Government employees / pensioners for the month in which the festival falls, well in advance to its commencement. This year as pointed out the celebration starts from 15th August and culminates on 25th August. We shall be grateful if orders are issued to all the Disbursing Authorities to disburse the pension for the month on 15th August 2018 to enable the pensioners to celebrate the festival in a fitting manner like others in the state. It is worthwhile to recollect that similar orders have been issued in previous years too. A favourable response is highly solicited from your end.

Thanking you                                                                                                                         yours faithfully

Judgment of Delhi High Court in WP 8113/2016 Decided on 13-9-2017 -Parity in Pension

Parity in Pension due to Revision of Pay Scales

Judgment of Delhi High Court in WP 8113/2016 Decided on 13-9-2017  in the case of Rajindra Vs Union of India & Others

Saturday, June 16, 2018

GOVERNMENT’S  REJECTION OF OPTION 1 (BASED ON INCREMENT METHOD) OF 7TH  CPC HAS BEEN CHALLENGED BY THE CENTRAL GOVT SAG (S-29) PENSIONERS ASSOCIATION; OA FILED IN CENTRAL ADMINISTRATIVE TRIBUNAL, (PRINCIPAL BENCH) NEW DELHI.

The Governments’ rejection of option 1 (based on Increments Method),  recommended by the 7th  CPC in Para 10.1.67 of its Report, has been challenged by the Central Government SAG (S-29) Pensioners Association in an OA (Original Application) filed by them before the Central Administrative Tribunal, (Principal Bench) New Delhi.

Notice has been issued to Union of India and the next date has been fixed on 27th  July, 2018. This is the first such case to be filed on this issue.

It may be mentioned that this Association had played a pioneering role, right up to the Supreme Court, in restoring of modified parity recommended by the Sixth Pay Commission and accepted by the Govt. at first but later on unjustly denied for fixation of the minimum pension of pre-2006 pensioners at minimum of the Pay in the Pay Band plus Grade Pay thereon corresponding to the Pay Scale from which the Pensioner had retired. This case had benefitted a very large number of Pre-2006 Pensioners.
